Director General of the Border Security Force (BSF) Praveen Kumar on Monday reviewed the counter-infiltration grid along the India–Pakistan International Border in the Jammu region.
The DG BSF visited the Jammu Frontier to assess the prevailing security situation along the International Border. Shashank Anand, Inspector General, BSF Jammu Frontier, briefed him on the current security scenario and the operational preparedness of the force along the border.

During the visit, the DG BSF, accompanied by Satish S Khandare, Additional Director General (Western Command), and the Inspector General, BSF Jammu Frontier, toured the Samba and Kathua border areas.
He reviewed the Border Management System, the counter-infiltration grid, and overall security arrangements along the International Border, assessed operational preparedness, and lauded the unwavering commitment, operational excellence, and resilience of BSF Praharis.
The DG BSF also reviewed Smart Border Technology projects aimed at strengthening surveillance, enhancing operational efficiency, and bolstering overall border security.
Addressing a Prahari Sammelan at the BSF Jammu Frontier headquarters, he praised the troops for their dedication to border duties and emphasised the need to maintain effective border domination to thwart anti-national activities.
He also inaugurated 20 newly constructed Mahila Barracks at various Border Out Posts, aimed at providing improved accommodation and welfare facilities for women personnel deployed along the border.
